I worked at Desert Heights several years ago as a full time substitute teacher in both kindergarten and 2nd grade. From there I moved to the University of Phoenix to complete my Masters in Education. With the adoption of my biological grandson two years ago, I came to the realization that early childhood and the elementary education world is a better fit for me. While raising my five children, I ran a licensed day care/preschool program in my home for 11 years. When my youngest child started kindergarten, I decided to start college after being out of high school for more than 20 years. I earned a certificate in developmental disabilities and provided therapy for autistic children through the Hope Group the entire time I was earning my undergraduate degree. My hope is to enjoy the next few years educating your children through play, so that I will have the experience necessary to share my education and knowledge to upcoming education majors by teaching part time at local community colleges. I love children, and I'm very excited to be part of the Desert Heights family again, and I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to care for and educate your babies!
