My name is Ms. Williams, and I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I come from an Air Force family and have lived in Okinawa, Tokyo, and Kyushu, Japan near Navy, Marine, and Air Force bases. I have also attended 6 different schools and moved into 11 different homes growing up due to traveling in our military life. I am fluent in both English and Japanese and came to the United States for the first time in 2004 to pursue my dreams and goals. I attended Arizona State University and graduated with a bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching and Leadership. I was a student teacher in Japan on an Army and Air force base for Pre-K and 3rd grade and absolutely loved it! I am also the aftercare teacher for 3rd and 4th grade at our school. I appreciate diversity in the classrooms and love the fact that each and every child comes from a different culture, background, values, and traditions. I love to celebrate diversity and introduce new cultures and different languages to the students as well. I have also worked with students from ages 9-13 in a youth program, and interned in a Kindergarten and 2nd grade class. Desert Heights Preschool/Charter School has been my family for 8 years now and love the family atmosphere here. Your child is my first priority in the classroom and they will also have a blast in Pre-K! I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child!
